Understanding Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the page ranking, listing of the website and traffic to a website from search engines way of search results from specific keywords, Meta tags and titles.


Keyword is basically a word that is typed in a search engine to find the particular information on the web space. For e.g. custom software development, custom software development Company, custom software development company India will give you the desired information on the software development. Keywords are one of the most important parts to get listed in the search engines.

How to define keywords?

If you talk about the content part: Keywords can be separated using comma. Keywords are normally two-five words phrases that normally people type in the search engine to retrieve information on the internet. It is important to update Keywords according to current market scenario to keep it well abreast with the growing competition. For e.g. your website is related to latest technologies then your keywords related to current technologies in the market. This is another useful term, also known as description, is visible as and when you search something in the Search Engine result. A search engine reads the description and displays it on the result page after the user makes a search. Descriptions are not usually very long.


Title is basically the heading of the page when you visit a website. Title tag should define the page characteristics.
