The Client:
GAIL (India) Limited, is India's flagship Natural Gas company, integrating all facets of the Natural Gas value chain including Marketing, Research & Development, Processing, Transmission, Distribution and along with its related services. GAIL is leading the way to a world with clean fuel industrialization, creating nature friendly corridors that attach major fuel consumption centers in India with big gas fields, LNG terminals and other cross border gas sourcing points.

Issue:
GAIL already had a website up and running and wanted an annual maintenance service for the entire website along with Intranet applications. The website had to be updated with the company's new products for investment, financial support, latest content as per changes in the policy along with support for trouble shooting all the problems as and when required.

Solution:
Zed-Axis took the responsibility for the annual maintenance of the website, Corporate Intranet and the application. We have deputed a dedicated team at GAIL in order to handle the task successfully. This also enables GAIL an easy and effecting way of addressing all the possible requirements of the project. We went through an extensive research and discovered the areas of improvement in the website along with the technical faux-pas to undertake the annual maintenance support for the websites and Intranet solutions as required by GAIL.

• Website & Intranet design, Maintenance & Support
  Zed-Axis provides maintenance and support of GAIL Website on NIC server and its mirror site in GAIL server along with the Corporate Intranet. The main jobs during the maintenance period include publishing new contents or edit existing contents and redesigning of website as well as the Intranet with totally different look and feel.
  
  
• Applications Support
  Our team in GAIL is accountable for entire application support, which includes: Development, Maintenance, Support and trouble shooting and debugging of centralized Web based applications. Zed-Axis is also currently developing new software modules and modifying existing software modules as per the user requirements.
  
  
• GMS System Support
  GAIL is running Gas Management System (GMS), which is web-based software for nomination and allocation of GAS for accounting and billing purpose. We provide support services that include occasional writing/modification in allocation formula written in Python, creating customers, contracts, user, nominations etc.
