The Client:
Sony Ericsson, a 50:50 joint venture of Sony Corporation and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, was established in October 2001. Sony Ericsson is the Leading telecommunications solutions combined with proven entertainment technologies.

The Requirement:
Sony Ericsson planned a promotional campaign for its new Cyber-shot series and wanted to promote the series with its brand ambassador Hritik Roshan through a fashion show for the series of camera phones. The new series had to be promoted with a contest for the people buying the new Cyber-shot series by inviting maximum participations and attracting them to the grand reward i.e. become a celebrity photographer.

The objective of this microsite was to get maximum participation in the contest by creating a brand recall for Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot Series. Our team of visualizers and experienced web designers devised an interesting introduction to the microsite focusing on the fashion show and the "Become a Celebrity" branding, by cashing-in on the stars factor. The intro solely stresses on the fashion show and grand rewards for the winners i.e. being up close with the celebrities and clicking them with their Sony Cyber-shot personally.

The entire intro was developed in flash with Sony's branding, presenting the stars in a virtual environment and creating a user experience for the actual event. The entire look and feel of the microsite revolves around the promotional USP of catching the stars live in a fashion show.

The special effects and high end graphics create an effective setting of the fashion show through out the website intro and the landing page. We strategically created a short and crisp entry form for the contest right on the landing page to invite users and have a high number of entries.

Apart from creating the website, our creative team also conceptualized attractive banners to be hosted on different portals to redirect traffic to the microsite. The banners were also developed in flash using the brand guidelines suggested by Sony Ericsson.
