The Client:
Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is the leading Fashion board in India. The Design Council is instrumental in fostering Indian fashion wear in the National and International arena, and recognizing the potential of many designers, models, choreographers and stylists. Today, FDCI also works through four eminent platforms - Wills Lifestyle, India Fashion Week Autumn Winter and Spring Summer, the HDIL India Couture Week and Van Heusen India Men's Week.
Business Situation:
The concerned client is a big player in the fashion industry where they provide a platform for budding designers to showcase their talent. They lead the fashion industry where they organize fashion shows, ad campaigns, pop-up shows, and trunk shows, introduce budding designers and recognize famous designers. FDCI hence wanted a website that lists their objectives, creates links to the web pages of individual designers and generate publicity. They approached Zed-Axis for creating their corporate website and tasked us to deliver a website with rich user experience, in-line with the FDCI brand values.
Solution:
Our business consultant and creative designers discussed and concluded that the planned web design for FDCI website shall go beyond just being creative. Considering its elite audience, it was crucial that their website promotes brand consistency, reflects company?s values and maximizes user experience to the fullest. Our team hence decided to design a striking (dynamic) website where the Admin could list the recent and upcoming events, users could register as a buyer, read interviews and chats by famous designers, sign-up for newsletters, view and download wallpapers from the recent shows, and much more.
We created an artistic website that is in sync with their brand identity and attracts youngsters. There is comprehensive information on the website, divided in different heads like Latest Events, Upcoming Events, and separate links for its members like Designers, Accessory Designers, Corporate, Institutional, Honorary and Preliminary. This differentiation makes the website very easy-to-use, clean and focused.
The website also redirects to the event websites held by FDCI. For example, events like Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week and Van Heusen India Men?s Week are given special focus through banner promotion. This makes the website a repository of all important information at one place.
